Stephen & Megan Engagement Session
Tim & Alyssa's wedding
Couple session with Patrick & Andrea in Cambridge Ontario.
This is a car.
I by no means went to business school.
Quite the opposite actually. Art school. So when my art met paying the government taxes when I started my business I had to do a lot of learning on the spot.
One thing I hate to this day is dealing with receipts. I hate receipts. And billing. And invoices. So here's what my life looked like before I met Freshbooks.
If you run your own small business and spend most of your days looking at excel sheets I'd highly recommend Freshbooks. It helps you to not look mad. Or fall out of your chair and spill your coffee.
So how about those S'well bottles.
I left my coffee in the car this week and came back a few hours later to drink it. I burnt my tongue. So there's that. Word on the street is that it keeps cold drinks cold for even longer.
So here's a little ode to water bottles that keep things hot and cold for way too long it seems something can't be right.
1966 Mini Cooper painted dark grey with pewter stripes is the dream. I'm not sure if 1966 is the right year, but I know you have to throw a year out to sound legit. I just know I like the original body type. One day, I will have a little restored gem of my own.
But if I had one of them new ones, a little beauty like this would do the trick. It's a Cooper S, it's red, and drives like a dream.
No weight losing.
No weight lifting.
Wait for it.
^ See what I did there? I'll be spending the next year doing a several new conceptual shoots. Some client work, some personal work. I'll still be doing weddings here and there but I'm taking Cleland Studios in a little different direction this year. These are image ideas that I have been sitting on for some months and some years and am finally going ahead and producing them. So follow along on the blog and my Instagram (@lukewtcleland), and see where I end up in 365 days.
But for now, back to the party.
Happy New Years Y'all.
New Years Self Portrait
And thanks to Ryan, Katie, Karen, Ben, Emilie, and Brady for being the glitter crew, and helping make this photo possible.
It may not get a lot of likes.
I wonder what she will think.
I don't want him to think I'm copying.
^ is about 3 of 300 reasons why I haven't shot an idea before. But you get the idea. Putting out your thoughts and ideas is a scary proposition even when it's suppose to be funny. Will it be FUNNY or just funny. Or weird, maybe a little creeper-ish?
But if I have learned anything from this shoot, it's this: I look real good in an XXL sweater from Walmart.
titled. Merry Christmas Ya Filthy Animal, and a Happy New Year.
